EPISODE 49

Juliana del Águila, Bodegas Karas from Armenia and Bodega del Fin del Mundo from Argentina.

“AVAILABLE NEXT TUESDAY, JANUARY 7”

In this new episode, we travel from one end of the wine world to the other with Juliana del Águila Eurnekian, president of Bodega Karas in Armenia and Bodega del Fin del Mundo in Patagonia, Argentina. Two hemispheres, two extreme terroirs and a family legacy that has led her to lead unique projects in both corners of the planet.

From the ancestral vineyards of Armenia, with native varieties such as Areni Noir and Voskehat, to the Patagonian wines shaped by the wind and the thermal amplitude, Juliana shares her vision of identity, internationalization and the challenges of managing two wineries with opposite production cycles.

We discuss about:

➔ How to manage the identity of two wineries in different hemispheres and with their own markets.

➔ The renaissance of Armenian wine and the challenge of positioning it in the global market.

➔ The Patagonian terroir, the role of Michel Rolland and the evolution of wine tourism in Armenia.
